Mark Anderson, Associate

Mark L. Andersen has been involved in the health care information technology field in numerous roles for several decades. Mark has worked as the CIO for major academic medical centers (Columbia-Presbyterian, Yale New Haven Health System, University of Virginia) and as a consultant to many organizations on IT strategy and operations. He has focused on the integration of information technology with sound business strategies to improve clinical and operational management effectiveness. He has experience in all aspects of IT management and has had financial, operational and clinical responsibilties in several health care organizations. As a consultant, Mark has completed system evaluation and selection processes as well as leading numerous strategic planning projects. In addition he has evaluated technology investments in healthcare for a start-up investment fund. Specifically, he has:

Served as CIO for 3 major academic health systems;

Managed supply chain operations for several multi-entity systems;

Lead the development and deployment of new technologies for supply chain management, medical records management and clinical quality

Implemented numerous cost management strategies


He has a BS in Occupational Therapy and an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri and an MHA from The Ohio State University.
